Piano Camp Itinerary

Here is a first draft of an itinerary for the Piano Camp:

Friday, September 7

8:30	Arrive and register
9:30	General Assembly (welcome, and why we are here)
10:00	An organized "MIXER" : a FUN ACTIVITY to help participants get to know each other
10:30	Private lessons
12:00	Lunch (a simple catered box lunch)
1:00	Private lessons
2:30	Free time unstructured (practicing is an option)
3:00	Class (several options: theory, technique, improvisation, how to sight read, how to practice, etc.)
4:00	Faculty meet to discuss Master Class potential Students participate in another organized fun activity -- perhaps a follow up from the morning. Or, students go to the practice rooms and practice.
5:00	Break for dinner (we do not provide)
7:00	Pre-concert talk
7:30	Classical Faculty Concert

Satuday, September 8

8:30	General Assembly (welcome back; here's what we did yesterday; here's what we will do today)
9:00	Another fun activity (such as another mixer to follow up on the one from yesterday)
9:30	Private lessons
11:00	Master Class (structure yet to be determined)
12:00	Lunch (a simple catered box lunch)
1:00	Private lessons
2:30	Free time unstructured (practice is an option)
3:00	Class (several options: theory, technique, improvisation, how to sight read, how to practice, etc.)
4:00	Faculty meet to determine Honors Recital potential Some group activity; for example, - tour the mansion - tour the recording studio in the Business School - or, the students go to the practice rooms and practice.
5:00	Break for dinner (we do not provide)
7:00	Pre concert talk
7:30	Jazz Faculty Concert

Sunday, September 9

12:00	Practice rooms open
1:00	Some event or activity yet to be determined. Several options could happen here: - more private lessons, particularly with the students who will be on the Honors Concert - more classes such as: theory, technique, improvisation, how to sight read, how to practice, etc. - something else yet to be determined
2:30	General Assembly (goodbye and thanks for coming)
3:00	Student Honors Concert
4:00	Reception and mingle with students, faculty, parents, guests
